Good Evening Ladies,

Last week's Dusty Baby Blue Jacket sold to Kris A. from U of U Personnel Dept. She looked lovely. The color matched the color of her eyes. The Jacket was light enough to wear indoors. The Hand painted shell buttons with the many collar variations sealed the deal. I have quite a history with K.A. Last year, she sent a "Pick Box" to her sister in Santa Cruz during the fires with beautifully hand picked pieces for her to choose from on her birthday. On her birthday, the UPS truck caring my box to her sister was the last delivery allowed before they closed off the road to her home.

Will be in Las Vegas on Wednesday the 11th of Nov. scouting for Boutiques that may be a good fit for my pieces and attending a Fashion Show. I will then head south to LA garment district scouting for fabric and visiting friends. I'll return Sunday night 15th of Nov. I doubt if I will be sending a What's New Piece. But who knows... I have been known to burn the Midnight Oil.

Thought of the Week:
Please be aware of the "Roba Tiempos" (time thieves) . There are individuals who keep up us from our work, our passions, & tranquility because they have none of their own. They are the energy vampires of the earth creating drama to draw our energy.

My Best Always & Peace,
-M

I am attending an annual training work conference at the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. for the County agency I work for as an instructor. This year I decided to offer one of my pieces as a door prize. Connie, my co-worker, was at a yard sale and found a bag of silk brocade Asian pieces. Each piece was different. She said when she say them she thought of me. She gave me these wonderful pieces in August. Last week I was inspired to make this velvet jacket with matching scarf.

I thought about the wonderful beautiful people I work with, each one so different. Like this jacket, solid, well made, but if you examine it carefully, you will find slight imperfections. Unique, hand skilled clothing will bear these small imperfections. That's the charm of this lost art. As a staff working with individuals recovering from addictions we are held together by our professionalism & profound sense of ethics. I am proud to be working in a job that helps make a positive difference for the citizens of Salt Lake County.
From the artist...

I welcome your e-mails of interested friends or refer to website to receive item of the week.
The two questions most people asked were: 1) Where do you get your energy to make labor intensive originals with a full time job teaching curricula to individuals with drug addiction? 2) How much do these cost?

1) The first answer is simple. I love to create. I love having a job that makes a positive difference. I love to work and I love to keep connected to beautiful people.

2) The price of my jackets range from 80 - 150 wholesale. I will consider using your buttons & your fabric as long as there is NO obligation. I need 100% creative license. You will get the first bid with a generous discount.

"Have a peaceful week. Remember to share your energy wisely. Do not waste your talents & gifts on ungrateful individuals."

Franckly Speaking.

For a modest fee, Meredith will paint on your shoes!

Latest Fall Work

I've been busy with getting the web site up and running, working on new designs for the UMFA and Grand America, and celebrating Birthday month.

The Fall colors have been inspiring and I've posted some new jackets on the What's New section. I'll have some more new items for sale soon on the web or call for an appointment: 801-484-9103.
